Best Resident Apps for Entrata Properties (2026)

Entrata's Homebody and ResidentPortal apps against the independent apps that sync with Entrata, compared on doors, packages, events, services and owner income. Checked October 2026.

Konrad Koczwara, Founder and CEO · ElevateOS

The short answer

ElevateOS leads for Entrata properties in October 2026

For an Entrata property that wants one app for the door, packages, amenities, events, services and maintenance, ElevateOS covers every one of those jobs on a single login as of October 2026. Entrata stays the system of record, residents and leases sync two-way, and credentials flow from Entrata to the locks and readers.

Each of those jobs has depth behind it: 50+ integrations and 385 certified devices from 16 manufacturers for doors, a Resivents team that plans and runs events, 10,000+ vetted service providers, a Staff App for onsite teams, 8 income lines reported to the owner every month, and 1,500+ communities already running on it.

Entrata's own Homebody app is a capable portal for rent, maintenance, renewals, amenities and events, and it is the natural default on Entrata. Its scope follows the property's contracted Homebody tier, and on the pages checked, keyless entry runs through a separate Entrata product. ElevateOS puts the keys, the packages and the services in the same app as everything else, and adds a revenue share to the owner.

This guide is published by ElevateOS. Statements about other vendors come from their own pages and from Entrata's pages, linked in place, as checked in October 2026.

Method

How each app was judged

Entrata proof: Entrata's integration marketplace loads by script and could not be read when checked, so integration proof comes from vendor pages and Entrata's own announcements.

Resident jobs: which of the eight resident jobs each vendor's own pages describe: access, packages, amenities, events, services, maintenance, communication and payments.

Hardware: whether the app opens doors with the hardware already on site.

Owner income: whether the app creates income the owner shares in.

Ownership and roadmap: who owns the vendor, and what has changed recently.

"Not listed" means the vendor's own pages did not describe the feature when checked.

Entrata's own apps

Homebody, ResidentPortal and Access Connect

Homebody: Entrata calls it a one-stop-shop resident app for paying rent, maintenance, messaging staff, renewing the lease, vehicles, community events and amenities, rewards, a move-in checklist and service credits. Homebody's own site says it is free for residents and offers $300 a year in credits toward services. Entrata said in September 2025 that Homebody was fully live across Entrata communities.

Tiers: an admin portal added in June 2026 lets operators switch modules on, and modules follow the property's contracted Homebody tier. Ask which tier includes which modules before comparing prices.

ResidentPortal: the older ResidentPortal covers rent, maintenance, amenity booking, package pickup alerts, a community wall and an event calendar. The admin portal manages the transition from ResidentPortal to Homebody.

Access Connect: Entrata's Access Connect brings keyless entry through named partners: Brivo, PDK, SALTO KS, ButterflyMX and igloo. On the page checked, residents are texted to download the ResidentPortal app, not Homebody, so confirm which app carries the keys.

Services and community: Homebody partners with Amenify for services credits, announced in June 2025, and with Cobu for community, announced in March 2026.

A few familiar names are missing from this table because no Entrata integration could be found on their own pages when checked: Zego Mobile Doorman, 1VALET and Bilt. That does not prove they cannot connect, but it is worth asking.

ElevateOS on Entrata

What ElevateOS does on an Entrata property

Sync: residents, leases and applicants sync two-way with Entrata, with category and location filters. Credentials flow from Entrata to the locks and readers, work orders write back where Entrata supports it, and sync logs show what moved and when. See the ElevateOS and Entrata page.

One app for keys: keys live in the same app as packages, amenities, events and services. 50+ integrations connect 385 certified devices from 16 manufacturers, including the access brands Entrata names, such as Brivo, PDK, SALTO, ButterflyMX and igloohome.

Packages: lockers, package rooms and the front desk run through one flow, and staff log deliveries with Quick Scan at 39+ packages a minute.

Events: Resivents, the events arm of ElevateOS, gives each building a planner and a catalog, so the calendar fills without the onsite team building it. Residents have made 510,000+ event sign-ups across ElevateOS communities.

Services: a network of 10,000+ vetted providers for housekeeping, dog walking, handyman work and more, booked and paid in the app.

Income: 8 revenue lines, from paid amenities to services and event tickets, reported to the owner monthly. Wolf Point East residents book $30,000+ a month in services.

Staff: the Staff App and portal run packages, visitors, work orders and reporting on the same data.

Homebody or ElevateOS

How to choose on an Entrata property

Choose Homebody when: the property wants Entrata's native app with rent, maintenance, renewals and rewards, the onsite team will run events itself, and keyless entry is either not needed or acceptable in a separate Entrata flow.

Choose ElevateOS when: the property wants keys, packages, amenities, events and services in one branded app, a team that runs events and services for the building, and new income the owner shares in.

Use both when: the property wants to keep Entrata's payment and leasing flows and put ElevateOS on top for everything residents touch daily. Rent payments stay in Entrata either way.

The independent apps

The other apps Entrata properties use

Livly: Livly describes a service-request sync and nightly resident refresh with Entrata, and covers community, keyless entry, amenities and packages. Bilt announced on September 15, 2026 that it acquired Livly's property-operations platform.

Venn: Venn describes three connection points into Entrata. Its app covers rent, maintenance, packages, community and events with an AI concierge, and its connectors page lists access partners such as ButterflyMX, Brivo, Salto and Schlage.

VTS Activate: Entrata's logo appears on VTS's partner page. VTS Activate, formerly Rise Buildings, covers rent, service requests, unlocking units and amenities, visitor invites, booking and events.

BuildingLink: BuildingLink says Entrata syncs with BuildingLink every 24 hours. Its app comes from the front desk: packages, amenity reservations, repair requests, visitor instructions and events.

Flamingo: Flamingo lists Entrata on its integrations page. Its app covers rent, maintenance, booking, packages, events, thermostat and access control, services and rewards.

DOOR: Latch announced a one-way, hourly Entrata data sync in May 2021 and rebranded as DOOR in August 2025. The DOOR app focuses on keyless access, smart home and on-demand services.

Point tools: ButterflyMX is a named Access Connect partner for intercoms, SmartRent announced its Entrata integration in January 2020 for smart home, and Amenify powers Homebody's services credits. Each does one job well alongside a platform.

Switching on Entrata

What changes, and what stays in Entrata

What stays in Entrata: Entrata as the system of record, rent payments, the leasing workflow, accounting and every resident record.

What changes: residents get one branded app for keys, packages, amenities, events and services. The switch takes about four weeks: PMS sync in week 1, hardware in week 2 while the old app keeps working, branding and staff training in week 3, and resident activation in week 4.

How residents move: an activation sequence tied to each Entrata lease brings residents over, no lock is reprogrammed, and the old app sunsets after an overlap the property chooses. The implementation timeline covers each week.

Before you sign

Six questions for any app vendor on Entrata

Partner status: Entrata's partner program asks prospective partners for a client sponsor, a management company that endorses them. Ask which API access the vendor has today.

Keys: which app carries the residents' keys on day one, and does it use the hardware already on site?

Tiers: which modules are included at the quoted tier, and which cost extra?

Services: who funds service credits, and who earns from service bookings?

Write-back: what writes back to Entrata, and is there a sync log?

Ownership: who owns the vendor, and has it changed hands recently?
